MULTIPHASE TRANSFER PUMP (MPTP)
Multiphase Transfer Pumps (MPTP) are derived directly from the innovative HCG Compressors, some of which have been used in multiphase pumping services. The operating principle is very similar to that of the HCG Compressor with several major improvements to the product and material design to improve performance, reliability and serviceability for multiphase pumping applications.
MPTP is specifically designed for use on satellites or headers where production from multiple wells is collected. The resulting drop in line pressure allows the well entering the MPTP to produce more.
MPTP costs less than installing individual compressors in each well, has more throughput with less peak power demand and has lower service costs than HCG Compressors in multiphase service.
Separate pumps, compressors, separators, flares and process control systems on satellites can be eliminated with MPTP. This can replace aging and maintenance intensive field infrastructure, reducing field OPEX. Lead times for new equipment, turnaround times for repairs and maintenance, capital costs, and operating costs are much less compared to typical twin screw multiphase pumping systems.
